Very enjoyable well-kept family-run hotel

I stayed at Hotel Halimeda for 3 nights 1-4 Sept 2017, single room "Orientale" No.107, EUR55/night incl breakfast. I ended up staying here as the original hotel I booked was not to my liking and I just walked-in to Halimeda and asked for a room during the busy summer period, and luckily they had a small double - perfect for single use. I really enjoyed my stay. It is an older style hotel, but with beautifully decorated public areas and very well kept. There is a gorgeous roof-top terrace for breakfast which you can also use as a lounge. The family who ran the hotel was kind and friendly - I thank them for their hospitality. The hotel is less than 500m walk straight down the street - Via Arimondi -to the beach. Great location - supermarket nearby in the main street, Via Savoia. Everything worked well in the room - TV, fridge + a small balcony. I will definitely stay there again when I come back to San Vito. San Vito was a fantastic holiday town. I enjoyed hiring a bike and pedalling around town and down the coast to the other beaches nearby. I really enjoyed hiking up to Mt Monaco and taking the bike to the Mt Cofano Nature Reserve. It was magnificent beach holiday with lots of hiking, boating and fun outdoors activities.
